The American River Resort offers pre-set tents that will be assembled before your arrival and taken down after your stay. Additionally, sleeping Pads are included with every tent rental for FREE!
The American River Resort uses ALPS Mountaineering and Coleman brand tents for rent. Each tent will come with 2 twin sleeping pads, but can provide up to 4 sleeping pads per tent, for an additional cost. The sleeping pads are either foam with cordura cover or inflatable PVC pads made by NRS. The American River Resort rotates through its camping equipment every year so its rental equipment is never more than a season or two old.
Also note that the dome were described as 4-Person dome tents and Venture Out describes them as 2 to 4 Person tents to account for the fact that 4-Person tents don’t usually include room for luggage when 4 people are sleeping inside the tent.
IMPORTANT: If you intend to share this tent, the other guest(s) do NOT also need to purchase a tent rental add-on. However, each tent only comes with 2 twin sleeping pads. If you would like to request 4 twin sleeping pads, there will be an additional cost per pad.
